French Canadian Viking-themed black metal/ambient band Sanctuaire announced on their Facebook page that they are in the final stages of mixing their upcoming record, Feu Sacré (Sacred Fire). Hopefully the band have continued improving their compositional skills which advanced from their oft pedestrian Helserkr demo collection to last year’s sometimes inspiring Le Sang sur l’Acier EP.

Canadians can’t be vikings, they’re too gay & busy with their ouioui’s/baguettes. That goes for the French too.
Best band I ever saw in France was Headwar, way back when they were a three piece and hadn’t been on TV yet. The guy was wearing a dress. This punk I was squatting with liked to wear a dress too.
Can’t say that I’ve ever seen any French bands live but I saw 3 inches of crud & I think they’re Canadian. Didn’t change my mind on Kanuckia. Oh wait I saw Voivod… Le Horrible. I was on acid that day & even that didn’t make their performance anymore enjoyable.
The Franks stopped the Mohammedan invasion at Tours. Not viking, but certainly Germanic.
Now they just bend over & take it…my how the times have changed.
Has anyone here listened to Abusiveness’ ‘Krzyk świtu’?
