Blazing war/black metal operators Sammath opened pre-order for Across the Rhine is only death, the sixth album from the black metal fusionist Dutch/German band. This includes a wooden box version of the album which incorporates artifacts from WW2 and a Sammath logo patch with a copy of the digipak album.
For those who enjoy vicious and unrelenting metal, the pre-order of Across the Rhine is only death offers a chance to check in, but amazingly, with no media coverage, half of the wooden box pre-orders have sold already.
Those of us in the metal community hope that this album, which has more promise than most, sells well and encourages a renaissance in metal that is both true and futuristic, or looking toward new areas and not simply repeating old tropes in the model of certain internet labels.
For me, this week has involved blasting the best of the new generation, namely Demoncy, Beherit, Sammath, and Sorcier des Glaces.

Based on the two tracks that have been released from this, Minenwerfer are doing a better job of being Sammath these days than Sammath.

After listening to your Minesweeper’s band keyboard-driven, doleful little song, I understand precisely how your opinion is the essence of gay.
Apparently you don’t, given that there are no keyboards in the song I linked.
You’re joking, right?
Hey Brett, what albums from Sorcier des Glaces do you think has established them as the best of the new generation?
