It is our regrettable duty to report that Frank Dancsecs, founder of the legendary ACES Records in Tampa, Florida, has passed away on June 29, 2015. ACES was a gathering point for the early Florida death metal scene and invested support and belief in the early genre when it was rejected by most others.
Ace (AKA Frank) passed away 29 June at his home in Spring Hill with Connie, Frankie, and Anita by his side. It was a sad day to all those who Frank met. I married his daughter on 29 June 1985 and met him a few days later. Mrs. Ace still has records scattered throughout the house. Frank will rest in peace, but as long as we remember him and talk about him, he’ll never be gone.
