The Gesture of History is an exquisite Ambient/Neo-Classical Darkwave release from Sam Rosenthal, best known as founder of the greatest label for Ambient – Projekt Records, as well as the David Lynch-approved Goth group Black Tape for a Blue Girl. Violist Nick Shadow and Ascended Master of Aural Immersion Steve Roach also pool their talents to create a truly engulfing and emotionally potent soundscape. Recommended for fans of Arvo Pärt, Richard Moult and Jonny Greenwood’s soundtrack works, in addition to general Ambient enthusiasts.

The record in question is currently available as a “Name Your Price” download for the rest of the month on Projekt Records’ Bandcamp page. While this of course means that it can be purchased for free, the listener is fully welcome to pay any higher price they feel appropriate.
