Promising start, then comes the nu metal verse riff, then bouncy pop punk drumming…
Can’t say I’m surprised.
I wish this was better.
I don’t quite know what “nu metal verse riff” is supposed to mean – I spent the 20 years after 1991 mostly with
slowly coming back to earth from an outlying orbit and remember an overweight, full-moonfaced female person with thick glasses telling me something about Korn at some time in between which didn’t manage to leave a lasting impression on its own – nor “bouncy pop punk drumming” but I’ve listened to this track 5 times now and liked it better each time, as I found more and more interesting details. I don’t yet really have an opinion on this yet but
should this blossom into a full album, I’m looking forward to acquiring one.
If you inserted an “OH WAH AH AH AH” at around 0:35 it wouldn’t be out of place.
Because of this comment, and this comment only, I will now listen to the track.
Sounds pretty awesome!!! Actually glad they moved away from sounding exactly like bolt thrower!! Love it
