Galveston, Texas doom music band Lech has released its second recording, an EP entitled Misere, which features a departure from its pure noise and bent sound style into a guitar-based style approximating a cross between Eyehategod and Sunn o))).
The new EP features eight tracks of atmospheric guitar sound with garbled, sub-linguistic vocals of a tortured nature. The new approach aims less for the balance and subtle layering of past works, and more for a confrontational descent into irrationality and atavism, which always strikes me as a good thing.
As we wait for Lech to launch their official web presence, it is as of yet unknown when and in what form this recording will be released.
