The human drama matters because we are conscious of the greatness of Nature, not the other way round.

If you see life as a “fight”, you’ve already lost. My advice to anyone reading this (the writers are obviously beyond hope), have peace of mind and get things done without thinking of it as a struggle. Metal is a negative influence in thinking, unless you’re already a bitter, base_ment dwelling failure, at which point you can relate to its emotions. If you’re not, it pulls you in that direction, just like the peopl you hang out with, the things you read, and any other influence. I can’t think of a single band in metal that has a positive sound or a positive message. It’s all either minor key whining, angry teenager shit or pentatonic “let’s get high” crap. All the time you waste expanding and listening to your collection of MP3 of morons grunting like gorillas over chuggy power chord noise from 20 years ago is time wasted that you could be reading something to learn something about how the world works, learning a new skill or carrying out a constructive project. If you think this sounds stupid, wait until you’re competing to apply for a job just like everyone else. If you think listening to this crap and doing those constructive things are mutually compatible, you’re mistaken; I hope I don’t have to explain again why. They pull you in completely opposite directions.

Well, it’s pretty much irrelevant given that you really didn’t sufficiently explain anything. One would like to see at least some evidence to support the counterfactual assumptions you’re making, and by that I mean enough to establish the claim that “listening to this crap” and “doing those constructive things” are mutually incompatible. On a straightforward construal of the claim, it’s an obvious falsehood and you know it.

Listen man, I want to agree with you, I really do. However, I think you are mistaken.
Here is why:
1- Your perception of the metalhead is stereo-typical.
2- You are assuming there is a correlation between music taste and social success/failure.
I do not think Metal “pulls” you into a direction opposite of social achievement. I think if Metal did not exist, those people would not socially achieve anyway.
Yo say that metal is a “negative influence in thinking”. I believe if you “think” or that “thinking”, can never be negative; specially in a society that sanctions thinking if against “going with the flow” or ” if it rocks the boat”. Metal does not have emotions but if it did, they would not reveal to the audience uniformally, we are all different even if we are all metalheads.
Therefore, the negative message or influence would vary among its followers. Good metal is interpretive not dogma.
Metal can be a life-style and it will work for some people, for others it will not. Is the metal life-style inconvenient for social success? Maybe, but it is not a pre-requisite to enjoy and trully understand the music. I do not think music shapes the person, I believe is the other way around. Will dumb music make you dumb? I think if you are dumb you will be more comfortable with dumb music. Dumb music may include some Metal.
You seem to be too scared about social-financial failure. I am not. I realize any day could be my last day. On a daily basis I want to do what I would do if I was living my last day. Of the things I do, Metal plays a big part and I do have a well-payed job.
Stop making perfect sense, pitchfork nerds need someone lower than themselves to make fun of.
I keep asking, over and over, but no one answers. Give me an example of someone who is a fan of metal and successful in life. Someone who has made contributions to the world (especially in science, since we all value intellect so much, right?) while listening to true music of the elite like Burzum etc. If this is supposed to be music for the elite, where is the elite?
