Martyrdoom Productions posted more information about their long awaited reissue of Infester‘s To the Depths, In Degradation on their Facebook page this week. Hopefully the audio will be from the master tapes and not simply the original CD’s Redbook audio compressed and limited.

It is only being remastered in as much as it is needed to adjust the varying master volume levels on different songs on the original edition. Nothing more, as far as I know. So, I assume you can safely pick up the CD.

Who has the master tapes Daniel?
I already own this, but I suppose I’ll buy it to check out the new mix. At least people are still listening to classic death metal albums like this instead of gay piano shit.
I heard about this band and album years ago. I think I was trying to track this album down some time ago. I’ll probably grab this once it’s reissued hopefully the remaster doesn’t butcher it. I never recall having issues when an album is remastered, it’s when it’s remixed. Early Megadeth albums being remixed is a perfect example of this problem.
