Swedish viking themed heavy metal band Ereb Altor premiered a new music video, “En Synd Svart Som” from their upcoming album Ulfven, which comes out July 7th on Hammerheart Records. Ereb Altor of course worship Hammerheart era Bathory but of course more boring with the rhythm section giving hints of being rooted in metalcore. Hopefully the rest of the tracks on Ulfven will have less wailing, less breakdowns, and more riffs. Hopefully the composition will actually progress to something interesting.

Ereb Altor’s future music videos need more chain mail, more blood, and more half-naked women. Less cut offs, less girlfriends running around in the woods, and less half naked guys writhing around on the floor. Nobody cares about Ereb Altor’s tribal tats. Why can’t Ereb Altor’s videos just have bearded guys running around the woods in chain mail with axes screaming? Why didn’t they make their girlfriend get half-naked like the famous Slayer photo with the future Kathy Hanneman? Why didn’t they at least have vikings fighting over a blonde she-viking? They could have had her as the only woman in the dark age village over the age of twenty who still had all her teeth if she wasn’t a looker. The viking men could have fought a battle royal melee with medieval farm implements over whose offspring will get genes favoring dental hygiene. There could have been tons of brutal blood spurts like a samurai movie. As of now, I am not entertained. Hopefully Ereb Altor’s future music videos will as I don’t have high hopes for the music.

Ereb Altor need more blood and boobs . It worked for 80s fantasy flicks, it will work for Ereb Altor. Ereb Altor need to watch Deathstalker as they are not a Conan level band but perhaps they could become a Roger Corman film level one.
