By already being deemed as one of the elite bands within America’s death metal underground, and this merely by their one demo, the crushing “Vault Of Membros”, DISMA would immediately come to the forefront of the death metal underground since it features one of the most influential death metal vocalists of all time, namely death metal legend Craig Pillard (ex-Incantation/Disciples Of Mockery/Methadrone) alongside guitarists Daryl Kahan (Funebrarum/Citizen’s Arrest/Assuck) and Bill Venner (ex-Incantation), bassist Randi Stokes (ex-Methadrone) and drummer Shawn Eldridge (Funebrarum). And with DISMA stacked with respected underground musicians in its own right, it is without a doubt that DISMA have crafted their own distinct brand of unbelievably doomy twisted atmospheric death metal that will forge new ground while naturally upholding the ancient old-school death metal spirit.
With the megalith being described in a scenario as the monolithic tomb of humanity, DISMA’s music on their debut serves as the ideal soundtrack to a procession towards such a monument. With the ritualistic down-tuned low-end rhythm section of doom that counterpoints itself with Kahan and Venner’s crawling and twisted guitar chaos, all topped off by Pillard’s unparalleled death metal growls, “Towards The Megalith” will make its mark within the death metal scene as a monument to time end.
Named by Decibel magazine as one of the top 25 most anticipated releases of 2011 and to be released officially July 19th, tracklisting for “Towards The Megalith” goes as follows:
1. Chaos Apparition
2. Chasm Of Oceanus
3. Spectral Domination
4. Vault Of Membros
5. Purulent Quest
6. Lost In The Burial Fog
7. Of A Past Forlorn
8. Towards The Megaltih

I started reading the opening sentence and though to myself “This is a joke, right?” Brilliant troll though, as always. I wonder if the people writing about neoclassical death metal are also trolling or if they fell for it, it’s hard to tell.
shit sucks.

Shit sucks.
I THINK THE ANUS STAFF SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS LOST GEM OF UNDERGROUND MEXICAN DEATH METAL FROM 1992. I ADD THE MEDIAFIRE LINK TO DOWNLOAD

better than disma anytime
i’m a Barbie doll in a Barbie world so fantastic… i love that song and i hate Disma
That Fall of the Leafe is actually pretty fucking sweet. Sounds like the best parts of early In Flames though a bit less Swedish and more “Celtic” or just Dorian mode. I feel they could have been a lot better as a Folk or Power Metal band though, though I guess a lot of those bands never knew how to work in clean vocals. Production is weak but still clear so it has that “old amateur metal” vibe where music is audible but doesn’t pop out.
Holy fuck this came out in 1998? Way ahead of its time, this is as good as Mithotyn. Thanks for the find! Actually now that I think about it it reminds me of Pagan Reign also. Amazing, actually found something good on ANUS.
This is what modern death metal should be about. I saw these guys live with Immolation and they totally blew me away. We need to ignore the bullshit Incantation rip off bands and support bands like Disma and Cruciamentum!
No, you need to shut the fuck up.
So wait, is cool stuff Negruvoda?
Look faggots, THIS is what a REAL metal band, one with actual TALENT in both songwriting and playing, sounds like. So you can take your uninteresting third rate gloompop garbage and ram it up your ass. Listen and learn, faggots. This is metal at its peak.

I like it when hipsters fuck me in the ass! It’s great to see fellow gay friends having a good time of blowjobs and anal penetration. I discovered I was gay at age 12, like last year man but, it’s been awesome cuz my dad is a tranny so now we have more in common and our relationship has improved 100%. I feel loved when he fucks me hard.
@Noble Cav
Sweet, I’ve always wondered what pop music would sound like with distorted guitars.
As opposed to your usual listening, which is an elephant fart with guitars?

DURRRRRRR I SO TUFF AND HARDKORR!!! IM GUNNA CALL ALL MUSIC THAT SOUNDS GOOD AND ISNT AN EXERCISE IN MASOCHISM “POP” TO FEEL BETTER ABOUT MYSELF!!
Classical is just pop music with harpsichords.
New Disma album is pretty great.
Oh, cool, it’s streaming.
Also, that Sonata Arctica band is pretty bad. I’ve heard decent power metal before, but that song was terrible.
“With the megalith being described in a scenario as the monolithic tomb of humanity, DISMA’s music on their debut serves as the ideal soundtrack to a procession towards such a monument. ”
Just a question, how much of a depressed failure in life would you have to be to actually be interested in something that expresses this or think “wow, cool!” when reading that?
It’s called entertainment virgy… daily affirmations making a brighter world for you today.. rot in eternal misery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought death/black metal was not entertainment but “supreme nihilistic art”, at least according to this shitty site. Then again art, unless it’s made for a specific purpose (e.g. commissioned by a church) is entertainment. Oh and you’re so hardcore bro for saying “rot in eternal misery”, I’m so impressed by your “deep” affirmation. Make sure to say it when girls are watching, I’m sure they’ll think you’re not a total dork too.
