Disma Premiers The Graveless Remains Title Track

Craig Pillard‘s (Incantation) controversial death metal band Disma premiered the title track from their upcoming EP, The Graveless Remains on Soundcloud today. “The Graveless Remains” is nothing special despite featuring the drumming of once and probably still amazing original Immolation drummer Craig Smilowski. Preorder The Graveless Remains from Profound Lore Records here if you wish the the will to enact your own inner-desires to own every C-grade death metal release ever published if the record is of the same caliber as the title track which I surely hope it won’t be. I know some of our readers out there will feel compelled to buy this even if that is the case. though. The Graveless Remains probably won’t as good as the Disma LP and certainly not even Mortal Throne of Nazarene. Where there’s a will, there’s a way but more of the Craigs is always welcome.

Kind of funny, how others always associate Craig Smilowski with Immolation,
but I always think of his time in Goreaphobia.
Usually any band’s recording I hear him drumming with, is always gonna be pretty cool.
Good beats, and great drum sound.

Not overwhelming but a nicely rolling along death/ doom track I could grow accustomed to. For some reason, bands tend to “premiere” fairly mediocre tracks, at least when standing on their own, so I do expect the EP as a whole to be better.

      The EP is two songs.

  3. Cannibal Corpse: the first deathcore band says:

Too bouncy, like a Grave song.

    Why? Because he’s a Nazi-wannabe?

Disma is a band which records and performs music I’m interested in. This means I’m probably going to buy the album (the “special limited edition sneak preview” marketing is a bit off-putting, though) and I’d probably be going to a show if this was ever possible, considering geographical distance and this or that fa’s desire to make noises in public.

Insofar the band members have ‘political opinions’ – a common, human folly – the only thing I desire about these is “not being informed about them unless I ask” (and I certainly won’t).

Was a question to the author of the article. Why give Pillard post early 90s exposure if his stuff is mediocre?

        1. Rainer Weikusat says:

The question struck me as rather rethorical.

The reviewer must be into screamo or something. This is sick shit!!!!!!!

  6. Can you surive the blitzkreig says:

It sounds like a lot of other stuff that is readily available for pretty cheap, it will be of no real consequence whether you buy it or not.
