Maryland Deathfest once again has visa troubles forcing the cancellation of a headliner. Sodom‘s visa troubles last year led to the cancellation of their headlining appearance on the main stage of the parking lot festival. Now, British hardcore legends Discharge (the originators of d-beat hardcore) get the short end of the stick from the Baltimore festival’s disorganization.
In good news for fans, Discharge promises to honor all tickets at future shows:
UK-based hardcore punk legends DISCHARGE have been forced to cancel their U.S. headlining tour, which was scheduled to kick-off tomorrow at the Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore.
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, our visas have been delayed and we are forced to postpone the immediately forthcoming tour dates in North America,” states the band. “FEAR NOT, however, as we are working diligently to reschedule these shows as QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE, and we WILL fulfill all shows. All tickets will be honored. Please stand by as we will announce new performance dates in the next few days!”
