Ambient death metal band Desecresy recently released three teaser tracks, presumably from an upcoming album. These show the band venturing into some indie rock technique while attempting to dominate it with death metal structure and aesthetics.

I’d be interested in an article (or a series of articles) that showcases the chronological development of metal music by listing individual songs and pointing to certain riffs/passages/ideas that drove the genre forward. Perhaps like a long equation. That’d be really cool.
