Death Metal Underground emerged victorious from the siege at the hands of Tulio Baars and his team of confused, frustrated individuals that carried out these attacks in an attempt to receive validation from their peers. These attacks were characterized by the ego putting itself above all and not the community uniting in order to create something greater than the sum of each ego. Since the start Death Metal Underground has had a myriad number of writers casting aside their self in order to build this resource of Death Metal tradition. Like all things though, their time with us will come to an end and they will move on to other exploits and adventures. The strength of the community has allowed us to endure these aforementioned acts of censorship and we seek now to take this website to new heights and by doing so we must rebuild the community if we are to accomplish any of the objectives set by the creative duo of D.A.R.G and I.

I ask of you the readers and commentators to send an email to editor@deathmetal.org and to continue building this encyclopedia of metal with us. We seek all kinds of different perspectives and individuals willing to write about metal, literature, philosophy etc. Now is the time for the underground to rise!
