Although this album has already been appropriately reviewed, a few notes come to mind when contemplating it after having it in rotation for a few months: this is the best Goatcraft release so far, and fans who defend it as intuitive and critics who say it lacks epic and distinctive melodies both make good points.

Amphilochia may be one of the latter: a black metal band that is difficult to describe except as a series of sensations organized around an unstated but pervasive theme, like mysticism in a technological age.

Florida death metal band Eulogy has re-issued its discography as a limited edition CD and vinyl album on Dark Symphonies Records. The recording features the 1993 EP The Essence, which is both heavily bootlegged and even more insanely overpriced than normal on eBay, and the 1992 demo “Dismal.” Both releases have been remastered from the original analog tapes.
