I figured it was only fair I finally give this album a review, as to why I consider it polar opposite from “Black Hateful Metal”!! To sum it up, from start to finish, this is a horribly generic Norsecore album in every aspect imaginable. All the songs on this (except for the re-made demo track and the “intro” before it (which is GREAT!!)) are 100% worship of both the EMPEROR and ENSLAVED material on “Hordane’s Land”, though sounding MUCH more like EMPEROR. Especially the second and fifth tracks, they practically note-for-note copy an EMPEROR riff from that split. Vocals sound like a mixture of Ihsahn and Darken, but really monotone and uninteresting (much like the music is in the first place!!). All I can say is that if you’ve never heard VELES, pick up “Black Hateful Metal” and avoid this one like no tomorrow (unless you’re someone who loves Norsecore, but if you are, why are you reading my reviews??)...
