Presented on this bootleg CD with a very good sound quality is a rehearsal from May 1992 with Hellhammer on drums, Euronymous on guitars and Grishnackh on bass guitar. All songs from "De mysteriis dom Sathanas" are present here, minus "from the dark past" (i guess that's why this bootleg is titled that way). They are all in instrumental versions, and different from those that are featured on the band's first LP. It is an essential disk to all MAYHEM fanatics as the sound's excellent and the bass lines are not those performed on "De mysteriis..." as Grishnackh is the one playing bass here. And WAR HAMMER is also the label which created the famous "dawn of the black hearts" album ; one more time they pay a very good tribute to the best Black Necro Metal band of all times, which proves on that disk that its music was really evil and that nobody will ever be able to go so deep into musical darkness.
