Der Sturmer
The Blood Calls For W.A.R.!
[Treblinka]
An interesting blend of modern black metal violence, I.E, lacking, for
the most part, any noteable atmosphere, and traditional OI/RAC sound. The
end product is a violent, albeit, 'happier' sounding album of nationalist
provocation. Although not altogether unappealing, this album simply does
not do much for this author. One reason for this I suppose is the dire lack
of any originality, either in the lyrics or the material itself. For
instance, not only has this sound been utilized before, but furthermore, it
has already been somewhat depleted of any attraction it may have once
possessed. On the other hand, 'The Blood' seems to really be more of an
extention on the 'Europa...' demo, meaning, the sound is literally the same,
as is the particular avenue of propoganda (extensive WP/National Socialist
sound samplings. Like 'Europa...' they can literally be found on EVERY
track). In fact, I believe all the songs that were originally on the demo
have been redone for this release, stripping it of some of it's 'aesthetic'
value.
Although a good band, I simply have no real incling towards this cd. Not
that I love it or hate, but rather, it just bores me, and does not provide
any sort of mental stimulation whatsoever. This album would be good to play
at a WP riot or something of the sort, as it would certaily inspire the
participants into a frenzy of violence and adrenaline. Interesting, but not
essential.
