Abigor
Ash Nazg
[Independent]
Absolutely great material from Abigor's first demo produced ( if that's
what you want to call it! hehe ) back in 93. Taking a much more general
approach to their distribution of blasphemy, Ash Nazg showcased Abigor's
beginnings as a skilled and highly creative bunch. Although the drumming
was not nearly as it became in the later years, the talent could still be
logically traced back to these origins.
Pin pointing a demo, and attempting to make a just analysis of it and
it's contents can often be difficult because of the fact that they represent
such a different side of a familiar band, a side which we are not accustomed
to hearing normally. As in the case of Ash Nazg, the material is just very
bizzare... random choral bits placed throughout, high pitched wails which
seem to have no logical place being where they are, abnormally odd guitar
structures...
However, in the grand picture, this element of uncertainty is always good
because it keeps us guessing, and consequently, one is able to enjoy the
material for a much longer span of time.
The demo is terribly produced, and has a very low sound quality. I think
that's it's great, but all you pussies out there may as well pick up your
sack and walk away because you won't understand it anyways.
Songs on this demo are as follows; Dance of Dead, In Sin, Shadowlands... I am not sure if any of these cuts
where ever redone for later efforts.
