The first Mcd of Aura Noir is a rip-off of Sodom, Slayer, Possessed, and every other influential band that reigned during the era of pink spandex and female costumes, known as the mighty Eighties. The only difference being, the afore mentioned bands were pioneers and creators of the scene that now thrives, and Aura Noir seems to find contentment in merely plagerizing all their material, not giving any of the elders the credit they deserved. Well Aura Noir; the old albums, whether you know this or not, are still thriving, and still as good as they were 10-20 years ago, so, we really have no place in the scene for you anyways!! What makes this whole thing even worse, is that now there seems to be an entire "thrash" revolution/ revival polluting the scene, which inevitably follows in the same pathetic suit of unoriginality.

Now, this review certainly gives the impression of anger towards the cowards who merely feed off the innovations of the ancients, and this is all to true. However, I do not mean to imply that the Music on Dreams Like Deserts is bad. Instead, it is really great, and sounds like a killer mix between the best of thrash, and the best of newer Norwegian black metal. However, I absolutely will not praise anyone who knowingly plays the music of others, let alone the very bands who created the scene in the first place, and then ignorantly deny them the awknowledments they rightly earned.
