Forgotten And Perished
[Undercover]
Honestly I know nothing about this band, except that they are german. I had this LP recommended to me, and I figured why not give it a shot, so I ordered it. What we are dealing with here, is what certain individuals most assuredly would dismiss as norsecore immidiatly, and well yes you can pin that label on them. They play black metal anno Norway 1993, basically you can just hear the Gorgoroth, DMDS era Mayhem, early Immortal, Emperor, Darkthrone and so on and on. It would be easy to discard this as being generic tripe, but that would be to hasty as this album actually makes it work. It doesn't come off sounding like one of those "let's relive the glory days" type of bands, that are a dime a dozen, it merely sounds as if it was recorded about 8 years to late, or possibly, if the back didn't read recorded during november anno 2001, that it was some old recording from the early nineties, from somewhere in scandinavia, of an obscure band. Really it's all there, Szpajdel logo and all. The end result is a quite strong album, which I enjoy the way I enjoyed "Diabolical Fullmoon Mystiscm", or "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas", when I originally got them years back. It says it is limited to 500 copies, although there might be a CD version on the side, I do not know. It is definatly worth getting, at least for those who can enjoy a little old fashioned norsecore heheh.
