Mütiilation
New False Prophet
[End All Life]
Back from the dead... This is what we could say about this band. Nobody expected
any new stuff after "Remains of a ruined, dead, cirsed sould", which was supposed to be
the epitaph of the band (if you read what's written in the booklet). So many people were
surprised when, in the beginning of the year 2K, EAL prods announced they were releasing
a new EP by MUTIILATION. At the time, it was the last band from the BLACK LEGIONS circle
to release anything. But what was more interesting was to imagine what Mordred would create
after the "death" of Meyna'ch. Well, in fact the result is not especially "amazing"... This 7" (limited
to 300 pieces) presents two tracks, "New false prophet" (later re-issued on the band's next CD,
"Black Millenium") and "Glorious evil time", that are similar to the last two tracks appearing on
"Remains..." : a kind of Swedish black metal with a horrible drum-machine and fast pace. The
sound is almsot the same as the one on these recordings that end up "Remains...", and if you've read
the review I made of these tracks you'll understand I consider their sound "boring and uninteresting", at
least shameful, even for a UG band. Sorry guys, but MUTIILATION's past releases were much better,
darker and more depressive, than this one. No need to buy this EP, get instead "Hail Sathanas, we are the
black legions" or the first two CDs. Don't make this EP become a "cult" because it's limited, it's really not
worthy enough to be considered that way !
