Maniac Butcher/Sezarbil/Inferno
Proti Vsem
[Pussy God]
This split CD starts with MANIAC BUTCHER's "Metal from Hell" which is a 21' long track in which the band pays a tribute to
the old metal gods that ruled the thrash/death/black metal scene from the beginning of the '80s 'til the beginning
of the '90s. So they covar bands like MAYHEM, VENOM, CELTIC FROST, SLAYER, SODOM, TORR & MASTER'S HAMMER...
raelly good covers, played with the furious guitar of Blasphemer and voice of Barbarud. Then comes SEZARBIL. Their Black
Metal reminds me a lot of MASTER'S HAMMER, because the slow parts are in the same vein, maybe a bit darker. But
except for this similarity in the slow parts, that's all the bands have in common and in fact I didn't find SEZARBIL really
exciting or terrific, even if their last track, the only one with an English title, is weird and interesting. Finally, INFERNO ends
up this split CD. This band was already known for releasing a split 7" with the cult german horde MOONBLOOD, but I have
to admit I'm not a big fan of this band, which uses too many keyboard parts and becomes quickly boring... They have a
boring sound I guess, and this is a big mistake, because in black metal if you sound as 99% of the bands and if you
don't offer something witha personal and killer touch you do not interest many people... So this CD is interesting mainly
for the MANIAC BUTCHER song, but that's it. Also note it's limited to 666 handnumbered copies...
