Judas Iscariot
Of Great Eternity
[Elegy]
Coming as a tribute to the Polish Pagan Black Metal scene, this 3rd CD of Grim Akenathen's project
was written in Germany during the year 1996. This time it was not released on Moribund but on
Elegy Records, and it was for sure in 1997 the best album released by Akenathen. For the first time
drums are good (well, they are "normal" in fact but at the time "normal" was "good" for JI...) and most
songs have a very good structure, compared to the old ones. And this CD is certainly the one on which
Akenathen manages in the best way to reach his own style, even if some "Norwegian" riffas can still
be heard, this time you can't recognize DARKTHRONE or BURZUM in the riffs, but in the spirit of the
music. This is just a "Yankee Norwegian-styled" Black Metal album ! Many people consider this album as
the best ever made by JUDAS ISCARIOT, and I'm not far from agreeing with them... So if you like DARKTHRONE, BURZUM
and/or the Polish pagan black metal gods (GRAVELAND, NORTH, GONTYNA KRY...), this CD is for you.
