Great black metal is what these Canadian guys play. My first thought when I heard this "Summon..." was that these guys are strongly influenced by MOONBLOOD, especially in their guitar riifs & sound. This is far from being a flaw, as MOONBLOOD are the masters of "European, non-Northern" black metal. The production is good, every instrument is clear (even if the drum machine doesn't have a perfect sound), the vocals are great and the music very often "epic". The lovers of BM that wouldn't fit on a "live performance" but which is made for a selfish listening (BURZUM, GRAVELAND, GONTYNA KRY, MOONBLOOD...) will like this album.
