Everything linked to this CD has something to do with DECAYED : ALASTOR is a band with DECAYED members (and I'm not sure this is not a band made exclusively of DECAYED mambers...) and DKD records is DECAYED's personal label ! So the music played by both bands is very very similar, no need to precise it... There are 12 tracks on this CD (plus one bonus track, a cover of GUNS'N'ROSES "Knockin on Heaven's door" obviously played by members totally drunk), 5 by DECAYED and 7 by ALASTOR. DECAYED's part, titled "Sacrifice of the new born", presents thrash/black metal hymns with no huge change in the bnad's style, maybe the sound can make the songs more "dynamic" but that's all. ALASTOR part offers tracks in the same spirit as DECAYED's ones (same sound, same riffs, same vocals, both bands use a drum machine...), so you guessed this is in fact a "full" DECAYED album. And once again it's a tribute to the old spirit of Black Metal, and more than ever a homage to VENOM & alcoholism in general. Even the band invites you to drink as much as you can while listening to this CD, so get another beer and bang your head !! I will end up the review telling you this split album is limited to 500 pieces only, so you may have some difficulties to obtain it now...
