After releasing MUTIILATION's first CD "Vampires...", Drakkar prods deicided to release another Black Legions' album,
this split CD shared by TORGEIST & VLAD TEPES. What a great idea...
VLAD TEPES' part consists in tracks from their'95 demo "Dans notre chute", and their style is exactly the same as on their demo & split CD w/ BELKETRE, maybe with a harsher voice and rawer production, but from the beginning you know it's VLAD TEPES, they haven't changed anything to their Celtic Black Metal. So you will like these tracks if you like those on their other releases !
Despite their horrible sound, TORGEIST tracks are really great pieces of black metal, but be aware that you need to like "non-polished" & "non professionnal" studio (?) recordings in order to appreciate TORGEIST's music ! They remind me a bit of BELKETRE's part on the split CD w/ VLAD TEPES, although TORGEIST tracks are quite slow and invite the listener to cut his/her wrists instead of praising Satan ! I recommend you to get this release if you can, but I know it will not be easy (the CD is limited to 975 copies and has been sold-out everywhere for almost 5 years, and it is supposed never to be repressed ! )
