Dark Waters Stir
[Solistitium]
Sometimes, when you take a look at an album cover, you know it will be a killer. Here, it is one more time the case,
as ISVIND's first and unique album is presented in a nice white digipak with only the black logo etched on the front, no ridiculous
photos here, the only information we have are the tracklist and the band member's names. When I saw that
record for the first time, I knew it would be great...
True Norwegian Black Metal is the cliché I use to describe that music. I know this sentence has been misused many & many
times, but here it IS the case. This albums is a perfect mix of what DARKTHRONE, SATYRICON & GORGOROTH were in 95/96,
but be careful ! It is not just a copy or a "strongly-influenced band", it's just that the feeling coming from the music is exactly the one
you get when you listen to the 3 other mentioned bands ! And if you heard the shitty "Rebel extravaganza", you will certainly notice that
SATYRICON copied two main riffs from"Dark waters stir" ! They used EXACTLY the same parts ! Hehehehehe... Master $atyr wouldbe
running out of in$piration ?
So, in conclusion, buy this CD if you like the music played by the Great Norwegian Bands in the old days and / or French BM. You will not
be disappointed, and do not be influenced by that shitty TSJUDER CD ! I know there is one ISVIND member in TSJUDER but ISVIND's
music has nothing to do with TSJUDER's one, it's a million times better !!!
9/10
