Skulls, pentagrams, inverted crosses, ruins and the moon; dedication to darkness. Is it strange, then, that this album is just murder?

The music is darker than amerikan black metal usually. Its production favours low frequencies and the sound is more close to porridge than not. The soundworld is barren; the guitars drone monotonously throughout the songs, but the compositions are out of the ordinary. For some reason, a comparison to Inquisition comes to mind. The production is completely different, but there is a certain similarity to the arrangements and riffs. And more than that, the lyrics, though not really sharing the same feel, have a lot in common.

The only thing that limits how much i listen to this (i guess i mean amerikan black metal) is a certain lack of content or just artistic merit (not that this is completely void of it). There is total dedication to Satan and at times it is enough. At other times it is not.

Very inspiring, nonetheless.
