Black Funeral
Moon Of Characith
[Full Moon]

Most in the scene have always been sneering at Baron Abaddon and his nazisness and evilness and the now-so-turncoat highbrow occultness, yet there are ones who really enjoyed the old-school values of the first BF albums, even though the second was just a re-recording of the first one, with a demo[n] on top.

I think "Moon of Characith" is okay, though it will undoubtedly be hell of boredom for most metal listeners. Lots of pulsating sub-frequencies, totally shitty mid-range sounds that are for the purpose of achieving the effect of a cellar ritual or some shitty soundscape of a snuff film that has recorded a blood ritual... there is a pile of pretentiousness in this release that threatens to make the actual thing vanish underneath; its a bit too much to sell this shit as Black Funeral even though the ideological concept seems to be the same, so earlier it was maybe more about vampires, now about werewolves and how you can become a modern-day one.

Check Nachtoter's proper ambient projects Valefor and Darkness Enshroud first, they are better, then come back for this one if still interested.
