Halford
Resurrection
[Metal Is]
Ah yes, Halford, one of the great vocalists in metal
history, is back. From his long career in Priest, to
his pretty cool cameo in the band Fight, to his
atrocious Two album, Halford has had his ups and
downs. Resurrection definitely qualifies as an up.
“Resurrection” begins with a slowly building title
track, which from the first scream lets the listener
know Halford is back to kick in some heads. “Made In
Hell” is the next track on this album, and yet another
classic Metal tune. “Locked And Loaded” has a
questionable set of lyrics, but is nevertheless, a
great track. “Nightfall” is one of Halford’s more
melodic moments on this album, again, a killer track.
Highlights of the album also include a duet with Bruce
Dickenson.
For those people who question Halford’s ability to
make good Metal, pick this one up for sure. Trust me,
Halford is back and ready to rock again, and this
album proves it. Stop wasting time and pick this one
up.
