Grand Belial's Key
A Witness To The Regicide
[Wood-Nymph]
Bands from America have a tendency of being extremely Satanic and
blasphemous. There is just something to them that takes that aspect of
their art a lot further than European bands. They focus on that one thing
so strongly that all other aspects become irrelevant to them. European
bands, on the other hand, add occultism, Odinism, and whatnot to their
content. Perhaps it is by the very fact that majority of Americans are more
openly kristian than the European majority.
This certainly is true with GBK. Any European band playing Unholy Black
Metal pales in comparison to this band's anti-christian message, and in
this regard GBK would most assuredly make them appear as a bunch of whining
pussies.
GBK plays very simple but fresh and interesting Black Metal. Their music
is basic, but has enough twists not to be bland. And they are primitive as
hell, yet the music is well executed. Their songs rock, without being
entertaining in a jewish fashion. And while listening to this, i hardly
ever do anything else but stare at the cover picture of a bloody Krist
carrying his cross, tormented by Roman soldiers...
Comparing this to their earlier demo, "Goat of a Thousand Young" is easy
because this one has a new version of the demo's title song. This one was a
slight disappointment at first. Bestial Luciferian, who sang on the first
demo, used a more brutal voice. Had i not the first demo to compare this
to, i would not think of Black Lourde of Crucifixion as a weak(er) singer.
There can never be enough of this kind of music.
