Savatage
Power Of The Night
[ATCO]
Savatage, one of the great bands that dwelled in the
80’s, released some classic albums in the days. “Fight
For The Rock” was an attempt to add some commercialism
to their sound, but they made up for it by releasing
“Hall Of The Mountain King” one year later. “Power Of
The Night” falls into the classic area.
“Raise The Fist Of The Metal Child” is a battle cry
for all Metal maniacs to live by. “Power Of The Night”
is a pure slab of Metal, no genres, just plain old in
your face Metal. Every song on this album is great
with “Power Of The Night” and “Warriors” being my two
favorites. Even the cheesy 80’s love song sounds cool
how Savatage plays it, but don’t worry, if you know
you won’t like it no matter what, there is only one on
the album.
Savatage may not be among the heaviest bands to live,
but they sure have all the in your face crunch that
the listener needs.
