Minotaur are a very short lived trio hailing from Germany. “Power of Darkness” was a cult classic album back in the days. Playing raw Black Metal, Minotaur were one of the bands that more people should know about, but unfortunately do not.

“Power of Darkness” kicks off with a typical dark intro of the time. “Fierce Flight” follows the intro in style, bashing away at the listener’s ears like all good Metal should. Vocals are shrieked, which are copied by many of today’s Black Metal and Norsecore bands (Bathory also deserve credit for this). Terrorizing guitar solos and typical frantic drumming is also present, which is of course perfectly fitting for this style of Metal. Every single track is a classic on this album, which makes for a slightly boring review, but a great listen.
