Sacrifice
Apocalypse Inside
[Metal Blade]

Sadly, this album was to be the last time that these Canadian Thrash warriors would record. “Apocalypse Inside” is the last chapter in the saga of great Thrash albums that Sacrifice graced this pathetic world with.

Production on this album is very clear and crunchy. Vocals, guitars and drums are all well mixed, which gives this album a good overall fell. Urbinati approaches the vocal duties in the same way that he did on “Soldiers Of Misfortune”, that is, hellish shrieks of terror and rage. Sacrifice capture more of a melodic feel on some of the tracks, but still have there moments of great thrash and head smashing chunk. All of the songs on this album are good but only a few really stand out. “Apocalypse Inside” gives a great taste of what the band sounds like with a dose of melody, but still offers the aggression of past Sacrifice efforts. “Beneath What You See” and “Freedom Slave” are 2 other standouts on this album, both taking there rightful place in the annals of Thrash Metal history. Sacrifice have yet again produced a great album, but this is probably there poorest effort. Fans should remember however, that a poor effort for Sacrifice, is better then a good effort from most other bands.
