Sacrifice
Torment In Fire
[Fringe]
For all the people who don’t know about the great
Sacrifice, I shall give a brief history of the band.
Hailing from Canada, this 4 piece, started out around
1985 or so. In their reasonably short life they only
were, sadly, able to release 4 albums. Sacrifice play
old school Thrash Metal, and in their early days they
embraced the Black Metal ideology as well.
“Torment in Fire” is simply one of the greatest Black
Metal albums ever to see the light of day. Smashing
guitars, machine gun drumming (no blast beats of
course), and tortured vocal screams make the listener
feel as though they had been raped by a 747.
Since I like to prattle more then a schoolgirl who
just got her first boyfriend, ill cut this review
short. Every single song on this album kicks ass, it
is nearly impossible for me to conceive picking the
best track. One problem with this album however, is
the availability. My collection would never have
contained this treasure if not for Blackgoat of
Barbarian Wrath (thanks a lot), and even so I only
have a CD-R. No metalhead should be without this
release. If anyone needs a copy they can send me email
and ill send it to you for free. If you feel you need
to do something I’ll accept a trade, but I won’t take
money, cause, like Blackgoat (and many others for that
matter), I will not make money off metal.
