Deicide
Deicide
[Roadrunner]
Deicide's first self titled lp is arguably one of the most influential death
metal albums of all time, and obviously the best one that they ever put out.
Although Deicide has never "sold out," in any sense of the word, this
release has always just had the best material and lyrical structures out of
all of the albums. Opening the cd is a track based on Charles Manson
entitled "Lunatic of Gods Creation," showcasing the band's speed, and also
their more "groovy" (this sounds SO homosexual!!!) guitar riffs. Other
noteworthy tracks include "Dead By Dawn," "Sacrificial Suicide,"
"Mephistoles," and of course the ending cut "Crucifixation." Dead By Dawn
is a typical Deicide track incorporating their charecteristic time and tempo
changes, along with one of the best "sing along" chorus' ever. In fact,
most of the tracks on here are some of the best songs to hear live simply
because they have the best Chorus lyric structures. Definitely one of the
classic death metal albums to grace the scene... Bravo!
