Mork Gryning
Tusen Ar Har Gatt
[No Fashion]
Pretty typical stuff here. I know I have said this before, but isin't it
about time that the Swedish scene drew on some new influences, and played
something... well, creative for a change? Its actually pretty funny that
not a single one of the bands over there (save maybe Abruptum, the Abyss,
Marduk, and Setherial) has the courage to create a new sound, but instead
just feed off each other, and keep producing the same exact crap over and
over again. The surprising thing is, is that all the Swedish bands are
quite capable of breaking out of that pattern, and making a new sound. It's
not like the talent isin't there! Just the balls that arent. Anyways, Mork
Gryning are basically a Dissection clone. Sure, lots of bands have been
coined this, but these guys might as well just be a Fucking cover band
because all they play is Dissection material. The songs are well produced
and well executed, but they just don't have any sense of originality. They
lack that sense of "freshness" that accompanies any talented band. However,
its hard for me to say that I don't like them, because as it turns out, I am
a fan of Dissection! To sum it up, Tusen Ar Har Gatt is another typical
black metal album, that, instead of enriching the scene, really just over
populates it, and makes it more a disgrace. Be gone!
P.S. : How about using a different studio than unisound for once. I know theres
got to be another one somewhere in Sweden!
