WONGRAVEN is...no wait...WAS (since the next time Satyr will create anything like this again will be when Hell freezes up and becomes a ski-resort) the project of Satyr from the nowadays pathetic excuse for a band named Satyricon.

"Fjelltronen" is a trip into medieval Northern atmospheres, accompanied by synths and occasional acoustic guitar compositions. I like this album. Especially during the first song on the album one can hear what noteworthy musical talent Satyr once possessed. Close your eyes and dream of mystic Nordic landscapes. That's what the album demands. And it works believe me.

There's just one thing that usually spoils the mood on this album. There's a writing from mr. Satyr in the booklet in which he declares his hate towards everything "modern". Yes indeed, and if I'm not mistaken Satyricon's latest offering is what mr. modern-times hater Satyr himself calls "Modern Black Metal". oh...hell...nevermind...

Anyways "Fjelltronen" is a good album and the first song especially is amazing!
