1998 (Limited Edition, only 500 made , some copies still left..I know I ordererd it this month). I have to agree with another Larm reviewer, Svartsyn have improved a LOT. This release is way more cutting than their "True Legend" cd, and their Promo 1999, two song tape. For some, ther abrupt fade ins/outs sound annoying/odd/ amateurish. Those are the samew lamefuck pieces of shit homos who don't like Dark Throne. Fuck them! Loot their houses first when the economic collapse happens!
Svartsyn pierce my soul and body in half with a satanic psychic death ray in half, making me blow a loade in my jeans. The production is totally raw and blazing... Vicious vocals chill and thrill me like the first Bathory album...and that takes quite a lot!
The new version of "Goatthrone" (6:47 minutes) is a million times better than on the "True Legend". The left-right balance levels are way off, the lower volumed side is kind of muddy, as if this was rec. in mono, and we're lucky to get this ion both channels! Cuz if we complain Ornias (All strings & voices) and Draugen (Drums) will gravely say 'Fuck You!' and stab a knife in your throat! (I know I would to any of you limpdick Cradle of Filth pukes! Goddamn! How can such a shitass band like Cocksuckers of Fags lure hot chicks to buy their cd's???!!!)
While I like the messy album version, this haS new life breathed into it. Sharp, ripping, thundering, pow pow pow, satanic army at war, tanks rollling in quick, bombs, full scale attack! Charge the enemy with a full hate-on and destroy! There's a luciferian new age undertone at one point that gets better explored on Side B's "Throne of the Antichrist" (5:58 minutes). This will draw Behemoth, Immortal, and Dark Throne fans (while Side A will appeal to speed freaks into Destroyer 666, the first Bathory album, and maybe Voi Vod's 'Rrroooaaarrr!!!' lp. The songs sounds as great, tecnical, and malevolent as the title implies.
