Another demo from Italian dark/black metallers. Not much has changed with the band since the "In Tuo Honori Preparatum" demo. With their distinctly Southern European sound Abhor continue to churn out somber, predominantly slow songs full of dark, occult-ish atmosphere. Production values are as admirable as before, and Ulfhedhnir's powerful vocal performance fits the music perfectly. Keyboards are an important part of the formula and, therefore, they are used widely, but that shouldn't unsettle you because it is done well. Admittedly, the band took this "keyboard thing" a bit too far and inserted a bunch of intros and interludes between the songs. I guess I don't have that big of a problem with them unlike the Funeral Oration's album, but I would definitely prefer if the band included more of the real songs instead. Other than that, this is some decent stuff that's worth looking into if it sounds like your thing.
