Necrodeath
Mater Of All Evil
[Scarlet]
Most bands who have "reformed" or "made combacks"
recently haven't been able to release material that
should find it's place outside of a trashcan (VENOM
and NECROPHAGIA being the absolute bottom of the
barrel). But there's been a handful who have made
good (if not excellent) "comeback" recordings (JUDAS
PRIEST and ROOT being the best). Italian black/thrash
legends NECRODEATH have stuck to their roots on this
new album (their first in around 10 years). Not as
raw, but there seems to be more of a black metal
approach, especially in the vocals. The music is more
in the vein of (early) SLAYER, DESTRUCTION, and SODOM,
still a few Brasilian black/thrash influences. Quite
good, although I liked "Into The Macabre" much better.
For those who think this may be another crap
"comeback" album, you have nothing to fear...
