I never thought this would happen. A Darkthrone Best of, Except it’s on Peaceville so there’s only tracks from the Peaceville albums and some live and demo tracks as well. The Cd is presented in a Digi Pack that folds out four times but doesn’t fit in my cd wall. The track selection is pretty good but there’s something about tracks 7 and 8 that make me think they were recorded live in the studio as there’s no crowd noise aside from a few claps at the end of the tracks and there is no announcement of the tracks at the start of them. The demo tracks are ok but there aren’t many of them and out of the whole album I had all but 3 or 4 tracks already as I’m sure is the case with most people. With that said, this is really only for Darkthrone completists or for people new to the band. The whole thing feels rushed and had I not fallen into the former category of a Darkthrone completist I would not have gotten this at all.
