Always searching for new material from the death metal gods, i had the chance to hear this Spiritual Healing. It's pretty good, not nearly as complex as later works, but more aggressive anyway. It starts with the song "Living Monstruosity" (Just reading the title gave me a really good feeling about this song), a simple main riff, great vocals by Chuck Schuldiner himself, absolutely awesome solos (high pitched harmonics, sweeps, what else could you possibly want?). The same with "Altering the Future", although the verse riff seems a bit stupid. The real headbanging experience comes with "Defensive Personalities", only to slow a bit down with "Within the Mind" (Check out the lead intro!), a great, memorable song. "Spiritual Healing" is a song with a lot of riffs and changes going on, cool song, among the best on this album. Original riffing on "Low Life", while the last two, "Genetic Reconstruction" and "Killing Spree" doesn't surprise me too much, although have impresive lyrics.

Conclusion: great album, a must have for any death metalhead, not as brutal as "Scream Bloody Gore" or as geniously conceived as "The Sound of Perseverance", but a nice agressive, fast material.
