Why oh why do I praise Gortician? Production is abysmal, sounds like a drum machine was used sometimes. Even a couple of metal/rap tunes appear (Well, one sounds really cool with the riff used from Blue Oyster Cult's "Godzilla"), with the word fuck said more times than you can thrash a stick at. "Mind of a Lunatic" sounds like Toronto's hiphop BTK gone heavy metal.

No frills, garage gonzoid metal. Elements of death/ grind/ thrash are thrown into a blender and out comes this ugly drunken, drugged mess called Gortician. Reminds me of 'the good ol days' when shows were exciting and there were a million bands jamming in their basements.

The songs, the energy of The Wonder Years makes me want to see these guys play live! Standout tracks for me are "Orgy With The Dead", "Alien Abduction", "Caesarian Salad", the heavy-as-hell version of Stray Cat Strut (which reminds me of The Accused), and the totally noisy, industrial, psychotic, you'd-never-understand-this-like-me cuz you're-not-on-drugs "Alien Abduction (special surgery mix). It sort of sounds like the Dr. Who Theme in the midst of a war if you listen really hard. Hopefully more GORTICIAN tracks will be released on CD (I think there's at least 5 live mp3's around).
