Funeral Winds
Godslayer Xul
[Lethal]
This band is long dead to my knowledge. "Godslayer
Xul" was recorded back in 1995, and as far as I know
this "re-issue" is the only official release of this
CD (it was originally supposed to be released on the
now defunct Lethal Records). Although this CD is
still quite good, it isn't as equally strong as the
other FUNERAL WINDS material. The production is too
damn "clean", and I prefer Gorgoroth's (now in LIAR OF
GOLGOTHA) vocals over M Xul's (although his vocals do
sound grim!). Most of the "newer" tracks are faster
than the others (and shorter), but still retain the
FUNERAL WINDS feel. I think the opening track "For
The Glory Of Xul" may very well be the band's greatest
song!!
