I bought this CD at Dark Realm records and it definitely made the eight hour drive to LA worthwhile. I had no idea what Goetia sounded like, but this disc turned out to be a nice little surprise. As with most good black metal bands coming out of Europe these days, Goetia resides in Poland. Yes, that country that produces NSBM bands at an exponential rate. I'm not sure if they're part of that scene, but judging by their thanks list which includes the likes of Piaty of Kataxu, they probably are. Besides their country of origin, Goetia doesn't share any similarity with other bands hailing from the infamous country of sausage. Their sound is more based on early blackdeaththrash metal bands such as Possessed, old Mayhem, and old Bathory. I'm not sure if this a demo CDR because the inserts are pro-printed and the production is better than demo level. It actually has a really weird sounding production with the vocals way up front and everything else in the background. It kind of has that karaoke effect that Darkthrone's Panzerfaust had (but not as bad). Definitely worth purchasing if you like any of the bands mentioned above.
