Its easy to view this album with suspicion. Lame-ass name, stupid picture of an old man's face superimposed on a pencil drawn forest, and the band proudly residing on Satyr's money grubbing Moonfag record label. They improved their production sound, which does actually fit the music here. The music is a lot catchier then their previous albums, actually adding some speed and grooves in. This is a good album despite its faults, lets face it no band can stay perfect forever. Its hard to recommend this album (as you can tell from this uneven review). Its up to the listener to decide that. If you think anything different than Transilvanian Hunger is bad than avoid this. If you are okay with Darkthrone going in a different direction than give this a listen.
