One of the best and most technical Swedish death metal albums ever recorded. Sadly this is Darkthrone who are Norse and easily the most influential minimalistic BLACK METAL band in history. I'm pretty sure Fenriz (here known as Hank Amarillo) is proud of the fact that they started out technical and well-produced, and went straight to hell from there (which is a good thing). Some people don't really consider this the first Darkthrone album, and since they were called "Dark Throne" at the time that's pretty fair.

This is the only Darkthrone CD that ardent Entombed fans will enjoy, those expecting Transilvanian Hunger, stay away.
