Limbonic Art are another extremely over-rated black metal band.. I've heard people call this band "the most atmospheric band on the planet" and things of that such.. which is completely un-true.. The riffs here are standard black metal affair, although do some things here and there to keep you interested.. the bass is completely inaudible (what a suprise!..............).. the drums are done by a machine, and instead of using them to your advantage and doing stuff that can't be done with a real drummer (ala mysticum), they instead set it to full blast and it just doesn't fit the music well at all.. everything else is sort of mid to fast paced, and the drums are blasting along at hyper-speed.. doesn't work well at all... the keys (which so many have talked about... in a good way...) on this album are nothing original, nothing "artistic", and not very effective at all... the vocals here are one of the few things I appreciate on this cd.. his rasps/shrieks are done with such conviction and hate! and they almost have a shout to them (not in the typical black metal shout.. different somehow)... This cd does do some things to keep itself interesting, but unless you are out to collect every black metal cd out there, I see no reason why you should waste time/money on this....

Appeal: hmm... people who like unoriginal, pointless black metal done better than a lot of the bands who do it (still not making it good though..)
